RME-3 series ramps are specifically designed to meet the needs of people with limited mobility. With 300 kg maximum load capacity and an expanded aluminium mesh surface, these ramps minimize the risk of slipping and ensure excellent grip for the tyred wheels of wheelchairs or scooters.
Use of aluminium also makes the ramp extremely lightweight and easy to handle. More specifically, RME-3 ramps are formed by two welded aluminium semi-ramps joined together along their entire width by a hinge. They are available in the 800 mm width size and in 4 different lengths: 2000 mm, 2250 mm, 2500 mm, 3000 mm. The 650 mm width can also be supplied on request. 5-centimetre side edges provide increased safety when wheelchairs ascend and descend the ramp. A pair of safety belts and a side locking hook securely fasten the ramp to the van, thereby limiting noise and vibrations and ensuring trouble-free mobility.
We also install gas struts on every type of ramp, enabling anyone to open and close the ramp completely on their own. This process is made even easier by four technopolymer handles that provide a secure grip. The finishing processes to which each individual ramp component is subjected add to the safety of the product by eliminating every sharp or pointed edge, thereby preventing injuries during use. These RME-3 ramps, like every ramp we manufacture, are empirically tested to 2.5 times their rated load capacity. These tests enable us to provide a 2-year warranty, effective from the date of purchase. The installation procedures are extremely quick and simple.
All the screws and fasteners required for assembly are provided in the package, along with a handy guide. Following the instructions, you will be able to rapidly install your ramp by simply drilling 8 holes in your van and screwing the base into place with the screws provided. This series is available with optional extras comprising a swivel base and a quick-coupling mechanism; the swivel base is a fixed base allowing the ramp to be turned towards both the interior and exterior of the van, leaving the loading area free when the ramp is not needed.
